Weight Log

Weigh in whenever you like — the same time every day makes the comparison the most reliable.

Log today

The day you actually weighed in. It defaults to today; you can go back to fill in a day you missed, but not forward. One value per day — logging the same date again overwrites it.

In kilograms, up to two decimals (e.g. 72.35). Weighing at the same time daily is the most reliable — ideally after waking and using the toilet, before eating.

For the number a bioimpedance (BIA) scale gives you — copy what it shows, or leave it blank if you have no such scale; the site works out a second figure from your tape measurements anyway. BIA readings move with how hydrated you are, so a reading taken just after drinking or training will be off. Weigh at the same time each day and read the trend.

Some BIA scales report kilograms and some a percentage — pick whichever yours shows. The other unit is worked out from that day's weight and stored too, so a goal can be set in either. Like the body-fat figure, a BIA muscle reading moves with hydration; read the trend, not one day.

In centimetres. Fill these in and the site estimates your body fat with the US Navy formula — no special equipment needed. Once a week is plenty.

1 2 Neckbelow the larynxWaistlevel with the navel
  1. Neck just below the larynx, the tape sloping slightly downward at the front. Do not tuck the chin or stretch the neck.
  2. Waist level with the navel, tape parallel to the floor.

Stand upright, arms at your sides, and measure after a gentle exhale. Tape snug, not tight enough to dent the skin. The formula is very sensitive to placement — two centimetres up or down at the waist moves the estimate by about a full percentage point, so hitting the same spot every time matters more than hitting the perfect spot once.

Worth having next to the weight: a jump of several hundred grams overnight is usually water and gut content, not fat. Leaving it blank is fine — not answering is not the same as a no.

Note anything that might explain an odd number that day — salty meal last night, poor sleep, a hard session, a carb-load day. Up to 255 characters.
